Sterling Property Care was established in April 1994 as a partnership, which already had over twenty-five years of experience in the construction industry. During this time, as leaders in their industry sectors, Simon and Dean identified a core frustration of the clients they then worked with, they felt abandoned following the completion of their building project or defects period. Clients often found themselves calling strangers, from yellow pages etc, to carry out works with little knowledge of the problem nor of the client’s use and needs of their building. The repair process regularly involved several different trade contractors, which incurred it’s own coordination difficulties, as well as consuming valuable time. Dean & Simon were confident they could fulfil this significant client need. The combination of trade experience, the quantity surveying expertise and contracts management skills worked in perfect harmony and formed the solid foundation on which the company was to be built.
Sterling now offers a complete service, undertaking all construction trades under one roof, guaranteeing our clients value for money and a consistent level of customer care excellence.
Part of our Core Ideology is to create and maintain long term trading partnerships with our clients. This company value is illustrated by our continuing contracts with our initial clients partnered in 1994.
Growth and development of our team quickly became a critical consideration at all levels and following an informal culture of training Sterling achieved the Investors In People standard in July 2000. We continually encourage individual and team growth, education and development, matching our service and skills to our clients needs. This promotes integrity and service that attracts the highest level of clients and employees.
In 2001 Sterling Property Care, due to it’s increasing workload, purchased and moved into it’s own premises in Mansfield. The combination of offices and 4000sqft of storage space provide the ideal base to service the entire Midlands area, working as far north as Harrogate, as far south as Northampton, as far west as Birmingham and as far east as Grimsby, and this coverage is increasing.
